A1-A6
Road
Serena entered the Dutch market with the acquisition of the A1-A6 PPP motorway in October 2025. The project consists of the 25-year availability-based concession of one of the largest PPP infrastructure initiatives ever awarded in the Netherlands and a landmark in the European market.
The A1-A6 motorway is south of Amsterdam and has a total length of 18 kilometers. It serves as an essential access route to the city and forms part of the Schiphol–Amsterdam–Almere corridor. This strategic transport axis provides high-capacity connectivity to Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport and the northern Randstad region, at the heart of the Dutch economic center.
Hochtief oversees O&M, covering daily operations, maintenance, and road safety to ensure long-term asset resilience.
The asset now supports innovation through the GAES (Green As A Service) pilot, measuring ecosystem services in real time. The project aligns with Serena’s goal of managing resilient, socially and environmentally positive infrastructure.
